Hello mamour,
no I don't think that it mean the same.

I (je) am (suis) donc: am I =suis-je
me (moi) too (aussi) donc: moi aussi

look, it's very different.

"me too" is a slang but the proper way to say "moi aussi" is another story :

Robert will say: "I'm reading a book", and Steeve will answer : "so am I". (moi aussi);
Robert again : "You're reading a book", and Steeve : So are you. (toi aussi);
Robert : "They're reading a book", Steeve : So are they (eux aussi);
Robert : "I will read a book", Steeve : "So will I/you/he/she/it/we/they";
Robert : "I was reading a book", Steeve : "So was I/he/she/it" or "So were you/we/they";
Magy : "I'm over there", Michele : "So am I" or "So are you/we/they" or "So is he/she/it";
Magy : "I was over there", Michele : "So was I/he/she/it" or "So were you/we/they";

Quand il n'y a pas de verbe ou auxiliaire être au présent ou au passé, tu emploieras le verbe "do" à la place :

Robert : "I read a book", Steeve : "So do I/you/we/they" or "So does he/she/it"
Robert : "I have a book", Steeve : "So do I/you/we/they" or ....
Robert : "I had a book", Steeve : "So did I/you/he/she/it/we/they"
John : "I drive a car", Mary : "So do I/we/they" or "So does he/she/it"
John : "I drove a car", Mary : "So did I/we/they" or ....

You see, it's fairly simple, you just need a bit of practise to use it as a reflexe:)

You perfectly understood mamour, don't worry... But cannot we use the expression "me too"" to say "moi aussi" quicklier because to think about to think about the time of the main sentence is not evident for french people, it's usefull for me in all cases.
