Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

Freddyben

I don't where you saw this but I guess it means : quel gars ! quel mec!

mamour

hi freddiben
I saw"whattaguy" in the v.o of House Md
Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

mamour

in the original version's house md*it's more correct I think!
Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

Freddyben

Yeah I'm sure they use this, why not. They often use these kind of exclamations like : what a mad man, what a prick, what a handsome guy,... and what you read is just a shorter way as they do often times. They don't even pronunce the "t" in whataguy!. Just say it loudly and "ya'll see wha'Imean budy!" ;D

mamour

en fait j'ai lu çà sur un site qui retranscrit tous les dialogues,en anglais,de la série House Md!!
Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.

You can say "In the v.o. of House MD" or if you want to use English, "in the original version of House MD" -- just keep in mind that "original version" to an American does not necessarily mean "orignal spoken language". Because of that, if I were to translate "la version originale de House MD" I would say "the original English version of House MD", and I might even leave out the word "original".

And Freddyben is correct -- what a guy, or whattaguy, would be quel mec or quel gars!

I think it's better if you write : What does "whattaguy" mean?
Maybe there is no mistake in my correction, but my english is not perfect too!
