According to that book that you sent me...

C'est le pied ! means It's a blast! or It's the most!

I'm not really sure what "It's the most!" means...but "It's a blast!" (also seen in other tenses) is a pretty common expression. An expression that used to be really common is "It's the bomb!", but...I don't think that's very common anymore. I may be wrong, though. I still hear it sometimes, just not very often.
