Salut à tous , j'avoue que je suis un peu perturbé par l'emploi tout azimut du verbe "to get" . Ce verbe a des tas de significations, je peine à m'y retrouver...
So, do you have any tips about how to memorise correctly its several meanings? (Maybe the answer is just that I have to study more, isn't it? ;D)
What are the most important meanings of this verb you have to know when you are a beginner like me?
If a thread about "to get" already exist , I'm sorry ! I didn't find it .
Bye ! alex
Any corrections will be always much appreciated ;)
hi alex nous avons déjà parlé de get page 2 de introduction "got"
Salut mamour , merci beaucoup désolé je n'avais pas trouvé :'( I'm sorry
Vraiment il serait difficile de parler de get dans un seul fil, y a trop de significations.
Of course, "study more" works for just about everything, but that's not very helpful :P
Some of the more important meanings of it are to obtain/have, to start, to understand. For example...
I got a new car two years ago. (I obtained a new car two years ago.)
I will get to it after lunch. (I will start it after lunch.)
I get it, but it took me a while. (I understand, but it took me a while.)
Many uses of "get" are phrasal verbs, like "to get up" (similar to "stand up" but could also mean "sit up" as in "stop lying down").
i hate this verb...argggg
Get down, get up,get it get in,off......pfff!!!j'en passe et des meilleurs!!
Salut à tous , j'espère que vous allez bien ! :)
