Titre: Lesson 021
Posté par: Thomas le 12 Juin 2007 08:42
J'ai mis Lesson 021 en ligne. C'est la deuxième leçon dans la série qui parle de la nourriture, et là-dedans, il y a le vocabulaire des ustensiles et d'autres choses, aussi.

Hi!

Thanks for food vocabulary

I wonder what is the singular of fries? Fry or fried? Perhaps "fried" is the adjective form.

You're right, in UK they say "chips" instead of fries. And for chips, they say "crisps". British people never do as everybody! ;D

Bye!

If you only have one, it's called a "fry", yes. And something cooked the same way as fries is called "fried", just like you guessed. For example, "fried chicken" (http://www.popeyes.com/) is tasty, in my opinion (and Popeye's is one of my favorite restaurants).

Silly Brits and their silly version of English :P

Actually, maybe someone can confirm this for me, but I believe that fries are called "chips" in Australia as well...
