March 16 2008
Dear Thomas
Your last podcast is very interesting , as usual. You don't write the date the same way , we do in French ; this is important.
I had some problems a few years ago with traveler check. For a frenchman 3/6/2007 means 3 juin 2007. And for an amarican it means March 6 2007.
Have a nice day .

P.S
In French Have a nice day is a "formule de politesse"
Yeah, the date format with the slashes is always confusing between French and English! I personally like the French system, as it makes sense to me, start with the smallest, the day, then the middle-size one, the month, then the biggest, the year! The American one is a "shorthand" version of, say, March 16, 2008, but I still don't like it! :P
formule de politesse...can that apply to something like "A la prochaine" or "Au revoir" ?
